FREE Advertising Websites vs. Paid Advertising Websites

When advertising your business, should you use paid advertising websites, or FREE advertising websites?

Have you asked this question of yourself, or had someone else ask it of you? It’s a very valid question, but I believe the answer is that both methods work.  You just have to figure out what works best for you and your business.

I came across this article today about some free methods that I’d like to share with you.

One of many major expenses you will have when you are forming a company is promoting your business to draw customers. However, on the web you will find a plethora of free advertising sites with different ways of sharing your business with unlimited numbers of people all over this planet without spending a single cent.

free advertisingCreating articles on the Internet relating to your topic of choice is one of the best types of free marketing and advertising associated with an online business. It isn’t hard to write a how-to article regarding your topic of choice. You simply need to think outside the box and be conversational in your words. Then find websites that may be interested in your topic and request them to republish your article in exchange for a quick bio and live link to your site in the resource box of your article. Simultaneously, send this article to lots of article directories to enable other publishers to see and reprint your site content for a similar exchange. Make certain you post new articles weekly, and your online business will see increased website traffic from popular engines like Google.

Another viable free advertising path is the exchange of publishing with other list-owners. There are numerous Internet business sites with a newsletter list that are interested in free advertising, same as you. Offer to produce an exchange of free advertising so that you can help one another out. But, be careful that you do not select a close competitor.

Taking part in related message boards similar to your niche is a great free advertising method. You can take part in conversations, answer questions daily, and you can include a signature line after each post which has a quick link to your website, as well as a brief description of what you do. This may cause individuals to recognize you as a reliable expert, and they might frequent your website to check out what you offer. However, you should never promote your business within your posted message.  If someone asks you a question in an open forum, encourage these people to instant message you instead.  Most popular forums are against promotion of your site, but they do allow signature lines.

Should you decide to take a look at free advertising sites,  you can find them at They list some of the most useful free advertising that they have tried throughout the years.

So, get out there and try some FREE advertising!

You might find that FREE advertising websites might just work better for you than paid advertising websites.
